The spell checker may make mistakes. If it flags a spelling that is actually correct, select Ignore to tell Word to accept the current spelling.Ignore All tells the tool to accept all words in the document with that spelling. One of the annoying features of the system-wide spell check on Mac's is the fact you have to grab your mouse, right-click the word, and then click again to select the word. Macworld shows off how accomplish the same thing with just the keyboard.

What I know and what I have done.
Opening a file in Word on MS Windows results in many grammar check issues within a doc, but the same doc on Mac displays NO grammar issues. Same problem occurs for many different docs.

Verified settings in Word Preferences > Spelling and Grammar > Grammar [turned settings off, restarted Word, turned settings on again]
